About Dr. Sayyada
Dr. Sayyada is a physiotherapist with a Bachelor and a Master of Physiotherapy, and five years of clinical experience treating musculoskeletal, sports and neurological conditions. She is registered with the Indian Association of Physiotherapists under MIAP License No. 69386.
Her practice is built around one idea: where it hurts and what is causing it are often two different places. A shoulder can be a neck problem, a knee can be a hip problem, and treating the loudest symptom rarely produces lasting change. Every appointment starts with working out which structure is actually generating the pain, because that decides everything that follows.
The other half of the work is making sure you understand your own problem. People who know what is happening, what aggravates it and what to do when it flares recover faster and worry less. You should leave a session able to explain your condition to someone else.
Qualifications and registration
Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
Four year undergraduate degree plus a clinical internship, covering anatomy, biomechanics, exercise therapy and hands on assessment.
Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)
Postgraduate specialisation, with the deeper differential diagnosis and rehabilitation planning that separates a specialist assessment from a general one.
Professional registration
Registered with the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (MIAP) under License No. 69386, where her name is recorded as Shyyada Banu. Registration is what confirms a physiotherapist is qualified to practise, and it is worth checking for anyone treating you.

How treatment is approached
Diagnosis before treatment
No two conditions that look alike respond to the same plan. The examination comes first, every time, and we will tell you when we are not certain rather than treating on a guess.
Load is the medicine
Hands on work makes movement possible again, but tissue only becomes more tolerant by being asked to do more, gradually. The programme between sessions is where recovery is actually built.
Honest timelines
You will be told how long something realistically takes, and if physiotherapy is not the right answer for your problem you will be told that too, along with who to see instead.
